Buddha Amarnath ji yatra 2015 in Poonch district Jammu and Kashmir

Buddha Amarnath ji Shrine in the picturesque surroundings of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir is a symbol of Lord Shiva, considered to be second only to the Shrine of Shri Amarnath ji in its religious significance. An annual yatra to this shrine takes place from Jammu. The yatra concludes on the occasi on of Shravan Purnmashi (Raksha Bandhan day) when the holy Mace ( Chari Mubarak) is taken in a procession, symbolically leading the yatra from Poonch to the Buddha Amarnath Shrine. One can also visit Shiva Shrine, like Pandav Gufa Akhnoor, Shiv Gufa Makote(Rajouri) and Shivkhori Reasi while performing the yatra. Pilgrims from within and outside the state visit the Shrine throughout the year and specially during the yatra to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva
