Jammu university admission under Choice Based Credit System B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.B.A./B.C.A

It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that the admission under Choice Based Credit System to Semester-1 of the Three Year (six Semesters) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (General) /B.B.A./B.C.A Course for the Academic year 2018-19 in Degree Colleges affiliated to the University of Jammu falling under Winter Zone shall be made as under

a. 12-03-2018 to 31-03-2018 (without late fee)

b. 02-04-2018 to 11-04-2018 (with a late fee of Rs. 290/-)

c. The Vice Chancellor may consider grant of late admission for 10 days only after the expiry of

last date as per (b) above on payment of Rs 2640/- as late fee.

The regular teaching work shall begin with effect from 2nd week of April 2018.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION to B.A./B.SC./B.COM SEMESTER

Admission to Semester-1 of the Three Year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.(General) Course shall be open to a Candidate having passed the Higher Secondary Part-ll (10+2 pattern) examination (in full subjects) of the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education, CBSE or an examination recognized as equivalent there to subject to availability of seats & if otherwise found eligible.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO B.B.A. COURSE SEMESTER

Admission to Semester-1 of the Three Year B.B.A. Course shall be open to a Candidate having passed the Higher Secondary Part-ll (10+2 pattern) examination (in full subjects) of the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education, CBSE or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto and has obtained at least 50% of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination in case of General category candidates and 45% marks in case of SC/ST candidates.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO B.C.A. COURSE SEMESTER-1

Admission to Semester-1 of the Three Year B.C.A. Course shall be open to a Candidate having passed the Higher Secondary Part-ll (10+2 Pattern) examination (in full subjects) of the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education, CBSE or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics as one of the elective subjects and has obtained at least 50% of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination in case of General category candidates and 45% marks in case of SC/ST candidates.

1. The admission in the Govt. Degree Colleges and the imparting instructions in B.A./B.Com./B.Sc Course affiliated to the University of Jammu shall be made directly by the Admission Committee of the college concerned on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination & strictly as per other Statutes.

2. The Exam of the candidates of the Winter Zone for the 1st Semester shall be held as per the Academic Calendar under Semester System CBCS alongwith the students of Summer Zone i.c November/December 2018.
