The candidates must be qualified as per norms lad down by the University of Jammu and have secured at least 55% marks at PG level (M.A., M.Sc, M.Ed., M.P.Ed.). However, NET/Slet qualified canddates shall be preferred.

Canddates having retired from Govt. Service with requisite qualification but below the age 63 years can also apply.
