Detailed Advertisement of posts of JAKEDA

1. Applications in prescribed format ONLY given with this advertisement are invited from the permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir, for appointment against the following posts in the Jammu & Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA). The appointment shall be made purely on temporary basis, initially for a period of five (05) years as per details given below :

1. Age limit : Not less than 18 years and more than 40 years as on 01.01.2015.
2. The list of shortlisted candidates shall be got published in the local press as also posted on the JAKEDA’s website www.jakeda.nic.inwherein details of the interview date etc. shall be given.
3. Self attested photocopies of all Academic/ Technical qualification, Age, State Subject certificate, Experience (if any)may be attached with the application form& the application form complete in all respects should reach JAKEDA Offices before last date i.e 30.09.2015.
4. Candidates shall attach their self attested recent passport size color photographs which should be stapled in the top right corner of the application form and the candidate should write his/her name on the reverse of the stapled photograph. The Application Form should be delivered in JAKEDA Offices (16- New Rehari, Jammu/ First Floor, Zam- Zam Hotel, Rambagh Srinagar) as the case may be, by or before 30.09.2015 against proper receipt.
5. In case of receipt of large number of applications for the posts mentioned above, the Agency may conduct a written test to shortlist eligible candidates.
6. Candidates will have to appear for an interview/written test to be held at Jammu/ Srinagar as and when called for on their own expenses and no TA/DA will be paid for the purpose.
7. Maximum candidates (up to 5 times the number of posts) against each post shall be called for interview.

9. Nature of Appointment.-

1. A person appointed under this advertisement shall be initially on probation for a period of five years and after completion of five years his/her service shall be declared as permanent subject to passing of such tests, or successfully undergoing such training, as provided under the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956 or as prescribed under the relevant recruitment rules governing the post of service to which he/she has been appointed.
2. The appointee shall have to necessarily work for a period of five years on the post against which he/she would be appointed and such appointee shall not be eligible for transfer for whatsoever reason during the temporary service of five years.

10. Fixation of pay.–

1. During the period of first five years, the appointee shall be entitled to the minimum of scale of pay along with the grade pay applicable to the post against which he/she is appointed.
2. Every appointee shall after completion of five years period on probation be entitled to fixation of pay in the time-scale of pay applicable to the post against which he/she is appointed.

11. Increments, Dearness Allowance and Other Allowances.-

1. The persons appointed under   this  advertisement shall  be entitled to Annual Increments,
2. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and City Compensatory Allowance after successful completion of their five years’ service on consolidated salary.
3. These appointees shall be entitled to the benefits under the Medical Attendance Rules and Leave Rules from the date of their appointment itself.

12. –

(1) The seniority of person appointed shall be reckoned from the date of his/her appointment.

(2) The period spent on probation/consolidated salary shall also be reckoned for purposes of calculating the qualifying service of these appointees for pension and other benefits provided under rules.

13. Selection shall be based on the following criteria:

(a)Grade Points to be awarded based on the marks obtained in the requisite minimum academic qualification & additional Grade points for higher qualification as per following breakup& calculations and (b) an interview of 20 (twenty) marks/ Grade points.

1. The services of the selected candidates may be terminated by JAKEDA at any time prior to the period of aforementioned five (05) years, without any prior notice or thereafter.
2. A non refundable application fee of Rs.200/- is required to be paid in the shape of Demand Draft in favour of “Chief Executive Officer, JAKEDA” for applying for each post, which should be attached with the application.
3. Selected candidates shall not have any claim to regular/permanent appointment whatsoever, as a matter of right.
4. Those candidates who have already applied for the post of Computer Assistants against JAKEDA’s Adv. No.01 dated 9.1.2014 shall have to apply again, however, they shall not be required to deposit the application fee and instead would attach a photocopy of the receipt of the previous application form.
