SPACE organizes INDRA DHANUSH TALENT HUNT for young artists

Young artists participate in INDRA DHANUSH TALENT HUNT

Jammu: Society for Promotion of Art, Culture and Education (SPACE) organized the First INDRA DHANUSH TALENT HUNT. This event was organized in association with MHAC School, Nagbani Jammu.

Young and budding artists aged between 10 to 18 years took part in the event.

Senior veteran artist and founder Kesar Art Circle Sh. Bhushan Kesar and famous Tanjore artists Mahua Gupta were the Jury members at the event. On this occasion, Ms. Mahua Gupta presented a portrait of His Highness Maharaja Hari Singh Jee to the school. Being an alumni as well, it was her dream to do something for the school. So, she presented Maharaja Hari Singh Ji’s Sketch to school.

Over one hundred artists participated in the event. Young artists showed their hand in portrait, sketching and designing arts. Colours of childhood and youth were present in the paintings and drawings of the artists. Jury members were greatly impressed by the talent of the participants. They appreciated their talent and wished for the bright future of art in the state.

On this occasion, Ms. Mahua Gupta said that it is great to see that SPACE has come with the initiative to promote arts among the young and budding artists. This will give a great exposure to the artists and will go a long way in promotion of art in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sh. Amit Sethi, Chairman of the organization, said that the purpose of organizing this event is to promote art among the masses. Exposure at young age gives wings to the dreams of young artists. With proper training and appreciation, the UT might see a bright new future in arts. He assured space at the organization’s website to the deserving artists.

School incharge Ms. Meenu Betab and Ms. Sonia Anand were also present at thefunction and distributed trophies and certificates among the winners and participants.

Ms. Sana Sehar secured 1st position while Ms. Anshika Manhas and Diya Salathia secured 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Commendable art certificates were won by Harikesh Singh Salathia, Gehna Rajput, Shiv Shamu and Parikshit Thakur.

All other participants were given the Certificates of Participant.
