IGNOU Recruitment for positions of Consultants and Lab In-charge in Chemistry Discipline

School of Sciences invites applications from candidates for the positions of two full-time Senior Consultants and a Lab In-charge in Chemistry Discipline. The nature of work will involve:

(i) the conduct of Laboratory Courses for B.Sc. (General), B.Sc. (Major) in Chemistry and
(ii) any other academic work assigned by the discipline of Chemistry.

The appointment will initially be for a period of six months and may be extended depending on satisfactory performance and as per the requirement of the School. The positions are purely contractual and selected candidates will have no right whatsoever for absorption/regularization in the University. The University reserves the right to discontinue/terminate/curtail the services of the consultants by giving notice period of one month.

The remuneration, educational qualifications, experience and eligibility conditions are given below:

Remuneration (consolidated) per month

Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- as per recommendations of the Selection Committee.

Educational qualifications and experience

Essential:

i) M.Sc. i Chemistry and allied areas
ii) Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience at University/College lab

Desirable:

i) Ph.D. in Chemistry
ii) Ability to conduct Laboratory Courses for B.Sc. (General), B.Sc. (Major) in Chemistry
iii) Working knowledge of Computer

Age Limit

Maximum age limit is 68 years as on the date of advertisement

Remuneration (consolidated) per month

Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 50,000/- as per recommendations of the Selection Committee.

Educational qualifications and experience

Essential:

i) B.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the subject
ii) Minimum 10 years of experience in handling the University/College lab

Desirable:

i) Knowledge of Chemistry Lab work.
ii) Working knowledge of Computer

Age

Maximum age limit is 68 years as on the date of advertisement
