Applications are invited on the prescribed form available on the University website (www.jammuuniversity.ac.in under the head ‘ANNOUNCEMENTS AND NOTIFICATIONS’) alongwith all the necessary self-attested supporting documents regarding age, qualifications and experience etc. from the eligible candidates for the Post of Principal, University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET), University of Jammu, Janglote, Kathua to be engaged on purely temporary academic arrangement basis.

The Applications must be submitted by hand in the Office of THE DEPUTY REGISTRAR (TEACHING WING), FIRST FLOOR, NEW ADMINISTRATION BLOCK – I, UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU, JAMMU (TAWI) -180006 UT J&K on or before 21 / 12 / 2020.

a) Ph. D. degree and First Class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch.
b) At least two successful Ph.D. guided as supervisor / Co-Supervisor and minimum 8 research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals.
c) Minimum 15 years of experience in teaching / research/ industry, out of which at least 3 years shall be at the post equivalent to that of Professor.

NOTE:-

1. The candidates including retired teachers who have not attained the age of 65 years as on 01.01.2021 can apply and he/ she shall be engaged only up to the age of 65 years.
2. The engagement of Principal, UIET shall be initially for six months further extendable or till the fresh selection is made, which ever happens to be earlier.
3. The consolidated salary shall be paid @ Rs. 60,000/- per month.
4. The schedule of interview of the eligible candidates shall be communicated separately.

*In exceptional cases, the above qualifications and age limit can be relaxed.
