Online/offline applications complete in all respects, are invited for the following posts so as to reach the undersigned on or before 30 / 09 / 2022.

1.For general information, it may be pointed out that in the University Teaching Departments, the medium of instruction and examination is in English in all subjects except in Sanskrit and modern Indian languages where the medium of instruction and examination is in the language concerned.

2. Candidates desirous of applying for the aforesaid posts are requested to visit Jammu University‟s website for the complete details of the advertisement viz qualifications/eligibility and other terms and conditions and filling/submission of application form.

3. Candidates should carefully read the requisite minimum essential qualifications and experience criteria etc. laid down in the advertisement before applying for these posts. Since all the applications will be screened on the basis of information submitted by the candidates in the online application form, the candidates must satisfy themselves of the suitability for the position to which they are applying. If at any stage during the recruitment and selection process, it is found that candidates have furnished false or wrong information, their candidature will be rejected.

4. Application once submitted cannot be altered/re-submitted, under any circumstances. Further, no request with respect to making changes in any data/particular entered by the candidate in the online application form will be entertained, once the application is submitted successfully. Therefore, please keep all data/details/documents ready, before you start filling up the Application online.

5. Candidates who have been awarded post graduate/Ph.D degree from Foreign University should enclose “Equivalence Certificate” issued by Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi without which their candidature will not be considered and application form will be rejected.

6. Any publications in predatory / dubious journals or presentations in predatory / dubious conferences shall not be considered for academic credit for selection & confirmation, with effect from 14-06-19, research publications from journals indexed in UGC-CARE List only would be considered for all academic purposes.

7. For the post of Professor/ Director (DDE) and Associate Professor, Candidates are required to have a minimum research score of 120 and 75 respectively in the API (Academic Performance indicator) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as per UGC Regulations-2018


1. The applicants who have applied earlier for the posts in response to the advertisement No. Adm/TW/C&R/19/482530 dated: 26.07.2019 and No: Adm/TW/C&R/19/91630 dated: 28.08.2019 will also need to apply afresh, if eligible in accordance to this advertisement. They shall however, be exempted from paying any application fees, if already paid against the above mentioned advertisements.

2. Fees of Rs. 1610/ for the all the positions has to be paid through the recruitment portal
gateway. The applicatio
n shall be considered as a submitted application only after the payment
of fees. The fees once paid will not be refunded or re
adjusted under any circumstances.
However, persons with disabilities (PWD) are exempted from payment of application fee.

3. The applicants are required to produce printout of ONLINE application form (Hard Copy) completed and duly self-attested along with supporting documents at the time of interview failing which such candidates shall not be allowed to participate in the process.

4. Keep a printout of completed online application (Hard copy) form for future reference also.

5. All the applicants should send a print out of the completed online application form (Hard Copy) along with self- attested documents as mentioned at point number 8 below through registered post only to THE DEPUTY REGISTRAR (TEACHING WING), FIRST FLOOR, NEW ADMINISTRATION BLOCK – I, UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU, JAMMU (TAWI) -180006, UT OF J&K so as to reach on or before 15/10/2022 otherwise the candidature be treated as rejected.

6. However, the Government servants should send the print out of complete application form (Hard Copy) through the Administrative Authority concerned, the University Employees through the Registrars of their respective Universities and by the persons employed in the private Firms and Institutions through the Heads of the Firms/Institutions concerned. Applications not routed through the proper channels are liable to be rejected. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer, if not available at the time of submission of application form, shall have to however, be submitted on or before the interview.
