NOTIFICATION

The Department of Higher Education J&K seeks to engage a Consultant under Rashtriya Uchachatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) a Centrally Sponsored Scheme which aims to attain higher levels of access, equity and excellence in Higher Education in the State.

Job Description

To provide necessary support to State Higher Education Department

in preparation and undertaking of strategic planning activities.

Planning, managing and coordinating various activities, including workshops, training etc being carried out by the Higher Education Department and Director RUSA.

Carrying out monitoring and evaluation of RUSA activities in the State.

Qualification required

Masters Degree and M.Phill / PhD in Social Sciences/ Science/ Engineering/Technology/ Law / Management.

At least 15 years of experience in academics in University / College level

Must have a sound domain Knowledge in areas of Higher Education, Policy & Governance, and Administration.

Must have good communication and negotiating skills, and basic knowledge of IT.

Must not have attained the age more than 62 years on the date of publishing of the notice in the news paper.

Emoluments

The total emoluments will be Rs.: 50,000/ per month.

The engagement will be for a period of one year initially terminable with a prior notice of one month from either side. The contract can be extended at the end of the year for further period of one year at a time, subject to a maximum of three years depending on the performance (for which a performance appraisal framework would be developed and agreed to at the beginning of the contract).
