Library Staff Jobs in Jammu University

There is a requirement to engage eligible candidates on leave chance basis during the leave of Library Staff purely on temporary basis. The University intends to draw a panel of eligible candidates, who are permanent residents of J&K State having a minimum qualification of Bachelor of Library Science(B.Lib) with not less than 55% marks from recognized University to hire their services as Semi Professional Assistant (SPA) purely on need basis for meeting its short term requirements, as and when the need arises, on a monthly consolidated honorarium of Rs. 10,000/- per month. The panel shall be prepared purely on the merit of Bachelor of Library Science(B.Lib) only (without interview) shall be valid for a period of one year and further extendable with the approval of the Competent Authority.

Qualification

(i) The candidates must hold a Bachelor of Library Science (B.Lib) from any recognized University with at least 55% Marks;

(ii) Certificate of medical fitness by a Grade – I Surgeon; and an

(iii) Affidavit attested by a Magistrate 1st class that the information submitted by the candidate is correct for such an engagement.

AGE AS ON 01.01.2015:

(i) Minimum for all Candidates = 18 years

(ii) Maximum for:

(a) General Candidates = 40 years

. (b) Socially and Educationally backward classes viz. weak and under privileged classes (Social Caste)/ ALC/SC/ST/RBA Candidates = 43 years

(c) Physically Handicapped = 42

(d) Ex-Serviceman =* 48 years

(e) In case of candidates already in Government Service/Contractual employees = 40 years

Appointment will be purely on contract/need basis, subject to satisfactory performance and WILL CONFER NO RIGHT FOR PERMANENT ABSORPTION IN THE UNIVERSITY. The panel / merit list shall be drawn purely on the basis of academic merit & the candidates whose services are hired shall be paid consolidated honorarium of Rs.10.000/- per month and they shall be entitled to 15 days casual leave in a calendar year with honorarium, on pro rata basis
