J&K Department of Ecology, Environment & Remote Sensing Jobs TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  1. The appointment shall be purely on temporary project-mode basis for a period of two years or co-terminus with the project whichever is earlier and subject to the funding from the sponsoring agency.
  2. The performance of temporary project-mode staff shall be monitored monthly by the Principal Investigator, if the performance of the engagee is not found up to the mark, his/her engagement shall be terminated without any further notice.
  3. Experience certificate of only Government Departments and Universities shall be considered. The experience certificate should clearly depict the work assignments performed. The experience claimed shall have to be supported by certificates issued by the concerned employer stating clearly the number of months of experiences in the relevant field. Teaching experience will not be considered for any position except for Geospatial Training coordinator.
  4. The engagement shall be terminable on either side by prior notice of one month or on payment of one month’s salary by the ap pointing authority.
  5. The engagee shall submit himself/herself to the orders of the Government and the Principal Investigator and authorities under whom he / she may be placed from time to time by the Government.
  6. The Government will pay the engagee consolidated emoluments as per the appointment order as long as he / she remain in the service and performs the duties.
  7. The engagee shall be entitled to casual leave of 15 days in one year or as per government instructions issued from time to time.
  8. The appointment shall not confer any right to regularization and the engagee has to submit an affidavit to this effect, duly attested by the First-Class Magistrate.
  9. If the engagee appointee at any time willfully neglects or refuses to perform his/her duties, the appointing authority shall immediately terminate his/her contractual appointment without any notice and he/she shall not be entitled to any salary for such period.
  10. The selectee shall have to work at the office complex at Bemina, Srinagar (summer) and/or at Jammu (winter) as per convenience of the project management. However, he or she may be required to travel throughout the UT for conducting field work.
  11. The job requires extensive travelling and working under arduous field conditions in high altitude areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
  12. The engagee shall not claim any TA/DA for field work. The department shall arrange the transport/boarding and lodging facility during such work/surveys. In case Government boarding/lodging is not made available to the engage during such tours, then a lump sum amount of Rs. 500/= per day for boarding/lodging shall be paid to them for undertaking their own arrangements. The GT Vehicle/Private Taxi (Govt approved rates) shall be provided by the department. In case the travel is within 50 Kms and does not involve any night stay, then the lump sum amount of Rs. 150/= shall be reimbursed per day as to and fro convenience charges. All such tours should be duly certified by the concerned Principal Investigator/Co- investigator of the Project for reimbursement.
  13. If, the engage requires to travel outside the UT or to Jammu in case his/her headquarter is at Srinagar or to Srinagar in case his/her headquarter is at Jammu for attending Project related trainings, Workshops, or any other official work., he/she shall be paid shared taxi (govt. approved rates) and AC 2-tier train fare and a lumpsum amount of Rs. 800/per day shall be reimbursed towards lodging, boarding and local transportation. However, in case, these facilities are provided by the sponsoring agency or the department itself, then same shall not be reimbursed.
  14. The applicants who have obtained professional/academic qualifications from recognized institute/University should only apply and an undertaking to this fact should be submitted at the end of the application form.
  15. In case, an application succeeds in getting selected by supplying false/concocted information or any unfair means, his appointment shall be liable to be cancelled by the Principal Investigator of the Project at any time and all dues paid to him would be recovered.

  2. The candidates not fulfilling the eligibility criteria should not apply.
  3. The application incomplete in any respect or not accompanied by requisite documents shall not be entertained and shall be rejected without further notice.
  4. The select list of the candidates shall be notified and displayed on the website of the Department of Ecology, Environment & Remote Sensing, J&K. Candidates in their own interest should check the departmental website frequently.
  5. The selections made by the selection committee shall be final and binding.
  6. No T.A. /D.A. shall be paid to the candidates called for appearing in the proficiency test and/or interview.
  7. Short-listed candidates will have to produce original certificates indicated in their applications at the time of joining.
  8. Mere fulfillment of the minimum advertised qualifications and experience requirement DOES NOT automatically entitle an applicant to be called for interview.
  9. If a candidate is applying for more than one post, separate applications have to be submitted for every post applied for.
  10. No correspondence shall be entertained with regard to the interview and/or selection.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The eligible candidates shall have to appear either in person or online proficiency/interview (as the case may be) before the selection committee constituted by the department for the purpose on the date and time which shall be notified separately through given email and departmental website. The online facility with software shall be made available at Jammu Office at Paryavaran Bhavan, Gladeni, Narwal, Transport Nagar as well as at SDA Housing Colony, Bemina, Srinagar Office of the Department of Ecology, Environment & Remote Sensing for facilitating the proficiency test and/or interview.
