Applications on prescribed format are invited from interested individuals for operating boats (03- Paddle boats and 03 Rowing boats) in Surinsar Lake for a period upto 31-03-2021 (as per NOC of the Wildlife Department) on first come first serve basis.

The applicants must possess the following eligibility:-

1. Swimming Certificate from any Govt. recognized institute.
2. NOC from District Employment & Counseling Centre.
3 Character Certificate from the concerned Police Station.
4. Educational Qualification Certificate (12th Passed -as per Tourism Trade Act) Application should reach by hand in the Adventure Section of Directorate of Tourism Jammu, Vir Marg, Residency Road within 10 days (on all working days) from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm from the date of publication of this notice. Incomplete applications will be rejected out rightly. Those who have already applied need to apply afresh, on the prescribed format.

Applicant can apply for one boat only.

The selected applicants shall however be responsible for fulfilling the below mentioned criteria:

a. The boats & life jackets (branded) will be purchased by the selected applicants from their own resources and shall not claim any amount from the department.
b. The selected applicants shall be responsible for adhering to the Safety norms.
c. The permission for plying of Paddle boats and Rowing boats in Surinsar Lake will be issued after the inspection and approval of boats carried out by the department committee.
d. The Selected candidates before operating the boats shall produce proof regarding insurance of passengers as per capacity of the boats/ equipment.
e. The selected candidates shall register themselves under Tourist Trade Act 1978/82/2011 through concerned prescribed Authority
