(Vacancy No. 24030501409) Eight vacancies for the post of Anthropologist (Cultural Anthropology Division) in Anthropological Survey of India, Department of Culture, Ministry of Culture.

RESERVATION POSITION :

(UR-04, EWS-01, OBC-02, SC-01) (PwBD-01)*.

Reservation/Suitability of the post for PwBD:

*Of the eight vacancies, one vacancy is reserved for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz. Locomotor Disability including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy with disability i.e. One leg affected (R or L) (OL).

The vacancies are also suitable for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz. Deaf and Hard of Hearing with disability i.e. Hard of Hearing (HH), Locomotor Disability including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy with disability i.e. One leg affected (R or L) (OL) or One arm affected (R or L) (OA) or One leg and One arm affected (OLA) or Leprosy Cured (LC) or Dwarfism (DW) or Acid Attack Victims (AAV).

PAY SCALE :

Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

AGE :

35 years for URs/EWSs.
38 years for OBCs.
40 years for SCs.
45 years for PwBDs.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :

(A) EDUCATIONAL :

Master’s degree in Anthropology of a recognized University with more than fifty percent papers in Cultural Anthropology in final year examination.

(B) EXPERIENCE :

Three years research experience in Anthropology.

NOTES :

NOTE-I : The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

NOTE-II : The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancy reserved
for them.

DUTIES :

(i) To lead field parties and to carry out Anthropological investigation in the field of Cultural Anthropology and to prepare reports.

(ii) To prepare research plans and programmes and to supervise the research work of other scientific members in collection of data, analysis of data and writing of reports.

(iii) To do such other works as and when assigned by the Head of the Deptt.

2. (Vacancy No. 24030502409) One vacancy for the post of Assistant Keeper in Anthropological Survey of India, Department of Culture, Ministry of Culture

RESERVATION POSITION : (ST-01).

Suitability of the post for PwBD :

The vacancy is suitable for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz. Deaf and Hard of Hearing with disability i.e. Hard of Hearing (HH), Locomotor Disability including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid

Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy with disability i.e. One leg affected (R or L) (OL) or One arm affected (R or L) (OA) or One leg and One arm affected (OLA) or Leprosy Cured (LC) or Dwarfism (DW) or Acid Attack Victims (AAV).

PAY SCALE : Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

AGE : 35 years for STs.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :

(A) EDUCATIONAL :

(i) Master’s degree in Anthropology from a recognized University or Institute.

(ii) Diploma in Museology from a recognized University or Institute.

(B) EXPERIENCE :

(i) At least 1 year experience.

DESIRABLE :

(i) At least one year experience of handling, maintaining and preserving specimens in a recognized museum.

NOTES :

To organize and develop the Regional Anthropological Museum and to undertake to field collection and studies in tribal and others area.

3 (Vacancy No. 24030504409) One vacancy for the post of Research Officer/Planning Officer in Directorate General of Employment, Ministry of Labour & Employment.

RESERVATION POSITION : (UR-01).

Suitability of the post for PWBD :

The vacancy is suitable for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz. Blindness and Low Vision with disability i.e. Blind (B) or Low Vision (LV), Deaf and Hard of Hearing with disability i.e. Deaf (D) or Hard of Hearing
(HH), Locomotor Disability including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy with disability i.e. Both legs affected but not arms (BL) or Both arms affected (BA) or One leg affected (R or L) (OL) or One arm affected (R or L) (OA) or One leg and One arm affected (OLA) or Cerebral Palsy (CP) or Leprosy Cured (LC) or Dwarfism (DW) or Acid Attack Victims (AAV), Autism, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability and Mental Illness with disability.

i.e. Specific Learning Disability (SLD) or Mental Illness (MI), Multiple disabilities (MD)

i.e. at least two disabilities from the categories of the disabilities indicated above.

PAY SCALE : Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

AGE : 30 years for URs.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :

(A) EDUCATIONAL :

(i) Masters’ Degree in Economics or Statistics or Mathematics or Psychology or Commerce or Education from a recognised University or institute.

(B) EXPERIENCE :

Three years’ experience in matters pertaining to, – (a) collection, analysis and interpretation of data or socio-economic investigation or research relating to demographics, employment and unemployment or labour market; or (b) employment service operations including employment or labour market information, career or employment counseling, vocational guidance and career information.

NOTE : The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

DUTIES :

Collection, compilation of manpower data relating to various industries/surveys, occupations through manpower surveys, undertaking manpower studies, formulations & evaluation of Manpower Schemes and periodically reviewing the achievements against prescribed physical & financial targets.
