72 hours Transporters strike called off : Agree to give Govt. sometime
The Transporters Association has called off their strike which was start from Monday demanding withdrawal of yearly passenger welfare fund, rollback of hike in fitness fees and fees for other renewal of documents.
This was decided in a meeting of Association members with concerned officials including the Chief Secretary BR Sharma. The Government has asked for 8-10 days to dwell upon the issues raised by the Transporters — commercial, load carriers and passenger vehicles.
