Academic Mentoring to cover all students during the Covid19 Pandemic: DSE Jammu.
DSE Jammu Directorate launched an initiative in Jammu Division to start online home classes / Home Assignments, distribution of books / printed study material, caching through local FM channels and TV channels in addition to SWAYAM Prabha channel of NCERT on Doordarshan.
However, there is still a large number of students who don’t have access to electronic gadgets and / or internet, Television etc. Therefore, it is felt that on an intensive campaign of Academic Mentoring needs to be launched for the handholding of each child. Nobody can do it better than the teacher.
Therefore. all the Heads of the Institutions at all levels, arid Zonal Education Officers of Jammu Division will ensure that every teacher/ Master/ Leet. is assigned the responsibility of personally contacting such students of their class who are still away from the purview of online education being carried out through different means-They will contact the students by phone or by using their influence/ goodwill in the society and help there in their studies while keeping CCW id EDP in mind.
At the elementary level, classes should be distributed among the teachers, whereas, secondary and higher secondary level subject-based distribution be carried out. The HDIs will also share class wise details and contact numbers of all students as per enclosed annexures with respective DiErs for random verification in the District.
The Department will carry out the audit of the performance of the teachers by constituting different teams at District and Division level in respect of home classes and home assignments. District level Monitoring and Mentoring teams shall regularly supervise the campaign and keep the directorate updated.
