Govt Advertised 450 MO positions to improve health system.

The J&K government started the process of filling 450 medical officer positions through direct recruitment in order to address the shortfall of doctors in rural hospitals.

A gazette notification released on November 18 by Health and Medical Education began the process of filling long-pending and ongoing empty medical officer positions.

The J&K Public Service Commission has been tasked with advertising and filling the positions. While the overall number of roles in the Health and Family Welfare department is 450, many of these vacancies have gone unfilled due to candidates failing to meet the various criteria and requirements. According to a top health official, the terms and conditions remain unchanged.
