In Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, 91 new positive cases have been reported since our last update yesterday, 54 from Jammu Division and 37 from Kashmir Division. Moreover 24 more COV1D-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 15 from Jammu Division and 09 from Kashmir Division. Also 01 COVID-19 death has been reported from Kashmir Division. (26 May, 2020; upto 7:30 PM).
Public in general is advised to stay safe, if any one need to leave home for essential purposes like grocery shopping or to visit the pharmacy;
• Always wear a face mask.
• If possible limit the trips or try other options like home delivery.
• Visit as few different places as possible.
• Keep at least 2 meter distance from others.
• Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
• Wash your hands with soap and water before and after.
People are strongly advised to avoid going to crowded places, as they are more likely to come into close contact with someone that has COVID-19 and it is more difficult to maintain physical distance with others at these places.
Early detection of COVID-19 can prevent the spread of disease, let us be responsible for the well-being of ourselves and everyone around us. Not disclosing symptoms could put life of individuals and their families at risk. In case of symptoms like fever, cough and difficulty in breathing report early. Do not fear, call COVID-19 helpline No.s and seek medical advice.
Unless absolutely necessary don’t step out of home, stay indoors. If you have to move out for unavoidable reasons, ensure that you wear a mask and practice social distancing, personal hygiene and frequent hand washing with soap and water.
