Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to start in Kashmir tomorrow, according to weather predictions today.

The Meteorological department here expected widespread light to moderate rain (snow over upper reaches) and thunderstorm with hailstorm and strong winds in a few locations on May 2-3, despite the fact that “gradual improvement” has been forecasted beginning this afternoon.

There might be a “brief spell of rain/thunderstorm at scattered places towards evening,” according to a MeT official here, from May 4 to 7.

He predicted that the weather will generally be unpredictable.
