Rohit Kansal latest update on J&K COVID19.
Pr Secy Planning & Information & Govt. Spokesperson Rohit Kansal had said that testing rate in J&K is 703 per million, 2nd highest in India; bracing up to 1000 test in 4 ICMR accredited labs in UT; this has decreased the doubling rate of infections.

J&K has 380 positive cases of which 294 are active cases (256 in Kmr,38 in Jmu);first case reported from Kathua dist yesterday;92 Red zones (14in Jmu & 78in Kmr) are under strict surveillance;81persons have recovered & 05deaths reported;out of 60000 persons under surveillance
Supply of essential commodities is normal in the UT;in last 24 hrs 1000 trucks with fruits, vegetables & ration have entered J&K;free ration & pulses being given under PMGKY; 1.5 lakh const.workers & 30,000 Pvt sector employees & 8.5lakhJan dhan acc holders benefitted so far;
8 lakh children given free MDM ration; ₹15 cr. transferred as cooking charges; ₹183 cr pending MGNREGA payments released by RDD, Use of mask made mandatory; 1.20 cr masks being given to priority & AAY households.
Nearly Rs100 cr released by the Govt. to DCs ;2.20lakh destitutes & labourers being supported in 1245 camps across J&K, 10 lakh qtls of advance ration of April-May stands distributed among the card holders,” said Kansal & urged people to follow the 7 pt appeal made by the PM.
