Transporters’ Unions call for 72 hours strike from Monday

Transporters’ Unions are going on 72 hours strike from Monday  demanding withdrawal of yearly passenger welfare fund, rollback of hike in fitness fees and fees for other renewal of documents.




Talking to JK News Today President of All J&K Transporters Associan Union leader Tarlochan Singh Wazir said that all commercial vehicles including load carriers, passenger buses, mini buses, taxis, oil tankers auto rikshaws will remain off the roads for 72 hours from Monday morning.

He said that transporters were facing problems regarding passenger fares, freight and demanded . He said, “We have put forth our demands including withdrawal of passenger welfare fund, withdrawal of fixation of Speed Governor on all vehicles prior to October 1 2016, amnesty scheme in passenger tax, special initiatives for 25 year old vehicles, revision“
