District Social Welfare Jammu Hostel admission notification

Application on the prescribed format given in Annexure “A” to this Notice are invited from the Other Backward Classes/ Other Social Castes students (Boys) undergoing studies in Government Schools/ Colleges/ Universities of UT of J&K who are desirous for seeking admission in a hostel located at H.No 110, Adarsh Nagar Paloura where free boarding and lodging will be provided to them. The position of seats available is given as under:

Class 6th and above.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

The students fulfilling the following eligibility criteria may be allotted seats in the hostel.

The students whose castes are included in the center/ UT of OBCs/OSCs and who do not belong to the creamy layer.
The allotment of seats will be done purely on a merit basis.
The preference shall be given to those students of Other Backward Classes who are living in the far-flung areas or have disabilities.
The students shall belong to B.P.L families/Lower Income Group.
The students shall be undergoing regular studies
The students desirous of taking admission to the Hostel shall have to submit an Affidavit that any
indiscipline on their part may tantamount to cancellation of their liability to pay the loss /Damage to
the Hostel property at their part.
The admission form should be completed in all respect and duly recommended by the concerned
institution, where the student is presently undergoing study, shall reach the office of the District
Social Welfare Officer, Jammu by hand or post on or before 15th June 2022.
