Eligibility For Haj Jammu and Kashmir Haj Committee

It is for the information of all those aspirants who intend to undertake Haj journey 1444(H)-2023(CE) that Haj Committee of India has invited On line Haj Application Forms w.e.f 10/02/2023. Before filing the application form online, the concerned Haj aspirant/ aspirants is/are hereby requested to go through Haj Guidelines for Haj-2023available at Haj Committee website www.hajcommittee.gov.in.

01. Eligibility For Haj: – Any Muslim can apply except:

a) Any person not in possession of Machine-Readable International Passport issued on or before 10th March, 2023 and valid atleast upto 3r d Feb, 2024.

b) Any person having performed Haj already through Haj Committee of India. However, a repeater shall be allowed to proceed for Haj as a Mahram of a female pilgrim and companion of 70+ category pilgrim if no other Mehram or companion is available in the family.

c) Those aspirants having severe medical ailments such as Terminal cancers, Heart ailment, Co-morbidities, Advanced Cardiac, respiratory, Liver or kidney disease, infectious Tuberculosis Diseases, or Senility.

d) Intending Pilgrims should be fully vaccinated with an approved COVID-19 Vaccine.

e) Ladies in advanced stage of pregnancy, in which case the international flying standards will be followed.

f) Person against whom any Court Order prohibiting him/her to travel abroad exists.

g) Applicant below the age of 18 years except those for whom consent of parents/legal guardian has been obtained.

2. The last date for submission of Online Haj application Forms has been fixed as 10/03/2023.

3. No hard Copies of Haj application forms will be accepted at this stage.

4. How to Apply:

Application onl ine only at the website of HCol i.e., www.hajcom mittee.gov.i n or on Haj App through Android Mobile App “HAJ COMMITTEE OF INDIA” available on Google Playstore. While submitting the Haj Application Formsonline, the pilgrimsare required to upload the following documents as enclosures(s): No processing fee will be charged at this stage.

i) First and last page of Machine Readable Valid Indian International Passport.

ii) Latest passport size photograph.

iii) Copy of CANCELLED Cheque or a copy of Bank Account Pass Book of the person mentioned as cover head.

iv) Address Proof: If the residential address of the applicant is same as mentioned in his/her passport, he /she may submit a copy of the passport as address proof. In other cases, the applicant may submit self- attested copy of any of the following as address proof: -Aadhar Card/Bank Pass Book/Election Commission Photo l-D Card.

Utility bill for last 3 months of:

Electricity Bill/Telephone Bill/Water Bill /Gas Connection Bill.

Note: All the uploaded documents should be in JPG Format only.

i) Passport size photo should be between 20KB to 100KB and width between 100pxto 148px.

ii) Other documents sizes should be between 10KB to 500KB and width between 570px to 795px

05. Composition of Cover-only family members and near relatives:

A maximum number of 4 applicants comprising the family members or near relatives can apply in a singlecover.The head of thecover shall be responsible for payment for the persons included in the cover.

06. 70+ Age Applicants:

In view of the hardships faced by the single 70+ pilgrims in KSA during Haj, HCol decided that Companion is a must for 70+ Pilgrim and no 70+ Pilgrim will be registered as a lone member under 70+ Age category. The Pilgrims aged 70 and above will be registered under the 70+ age category, subject to the following conditions:

A) An applicant shall be considered a 70+ pilgrim if he/she completes 70 years of age or more as on 30:h April, 2023.

B) One Companion with 70+age pilgrim is must and no 70+ age pilgrim travelling alone will be registered under the 70+ age category.

C) Only one Companion is allowed who should be an immediate relative namely Husband/ Wife/Brother/Sister/Son/Daughter/Son-in-law/ Daughter-in-law/ Grandson/Grand Daughter and Nephew/Neice.
