J&K customized Livelihood Generation Scheme for Young women.

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to the young women for setting up gainful self-employment ventures suited to their skills, training, aptitude and local conditions. The scheme aims at empowering and encouraging women for income generation for activities either in manufacturing / service/ trading /small business etc. Besides financing for the new unit /enterprise, the scheme provides financial assistance to the existing units for expansion/moderniza-tion of existing unit.

Eligibility:

Registration on Mission youth site i.e :- http://www.jkyouth-portal.in/

• Any Un employed Female domicile of J&K, essentially registered with Mission Youth, J&K & District Employment & Counselling Centre, Jammu.

• Unemployed Young Women of the district between the age group of 18-35 having qualification of 10th and above. Preference will be given to the categories of women trained in R-SETIs / Skill Development Institutions etc or any other training institute.

• The applicant should not have availed any loan facility under Govt, sponsored schemes and should not be a defaulter to any bank / Financial Institution.

• One Women can seek the assistance under the scheme only once.

1) Canteen & Restaurant,

2) Computerized Desk top Publishing

3) Creche

4) Cyber Cafe

5) Beauty Parlour

6) Day Care Centre

7) Laundry & Dry Cleaning

8) Mobile repairing

9) Photocopying(Xerox) centre

10) Boutique/Tailoring

11)Training Institute

12) Fitness Centre

13) Yoga Centre

14) Any other profitable activity/ Micro start-up /Small business unit of similar nature.

Mode of Financial Assistance:

• Under the Scheme, the eligible potential female entrepreneur shall be facilitated to avail financial assistance under Mudra Loan from J&K Bank to the extent of Rs 5.00 lakh.

• Mission Youth, J&K shall provide an amount of Rs 50,000 or 10% of project cost (which ever is minimum) as special incentive (subsidy) towards the loan account of the beneficiary under the scheme.

• The amount of self assistance provided by Mission Youth has to be compulsorily utilized for self employment generation only.

How to Apply:-

• In order to avail the benefit of ‘Tejaswini’ scheme. The candidate has to register on the official portal of Mission Youth i.e:-http://www.jkyouthportal.in/. Once registered on the portal, keep your registration No. for future reference.

• The desirous eligible candidates can submit their applications to the District Employment & Counselling Centre Jammu along with the below given documents in duplicate:-

Documents Required

1) Domicile Certificate / Ration Card/Aadhar Card/ Pan card

2) Date of Birth Certificate issued by the competent authority

3) Matriculation Certificate.

4) Detailed Project Report ( DPR) from JKEDI.

5) Unemployment Card from DECC, Jammu

6) Affidavit indicating that Applicant will continue the trade for a period not less than 5 Years or till liquidation of Loan amount.
