J&K Social Welfare department eligibility relaxation for Scholarship.

Jammu and Kashmir Social welfare department Relaxation in the eligibility criteria of 50% marks for Fresh cases for the year 2020-21 for three Scholarship Schemes of Minority Communities.

In reference to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, GOI communication received via e-mail on Dated :-21/12/2020, it is for the information of the students of Minority Communities that the relaxation m the eligibility criteria of 50% marks for Fresh Cases has been examined in MOMA and following decisions have been conveyed to the DBT Mission for taking necessary action by NSP/NIC.

(i) For Pre-Matric and Post Matric applicants:-

The existing criteria of 50% marks to apply under Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme stands relaxed and all applicants who have scored 50% or above marks or considered “Pass” shall be considered eligible to apply for ‘Fresh’ or ‘Renewal’ Scholarship on NSP Portal during 2020-21.

(ii) For Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship Scheme:-

The existing criteria of 50% marks to apply under MCM Scholarship Scheme stands relaxed and all applicants who have scored 50% or above marks or considered ‘Pass’ shall be considered eligible to apply for ’Renewal’ Scholarship on NSP Portal during 2020-21. However, there will be no relaxation in the existing criteria of 50% marks to apply under MCM scholarship scheme for Fresh applicants.
