The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION (NTSE) FOR 2020-21: INVITING APPLICATIONS FROM CLASS 10th STUDENTS
All the students studying in Class 10th in recognized Schools affiliated with JKBOSE or CBSE /Kendriya/ Navodya Vidyalaya or other schools located in the UT of J&K and UT of Ladakh are eligible to appear for stage-l examination of National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Session 2020-21 to be conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education scheduled on 27thDecember.2020 (Sunday).
Eligibility:- Applicant must have secured 60% marks (5% relaxation for ST/SC category) in class 9th and due for appearing in ensuing Class 10th Annual Examination i.e. November 2020 in Kashmir Division/Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division, UT of Ladakh and March 2021 in Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division. Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) are also eligible for the Scholarship. Students should be below the age of 18 years (as on 1st July 2020). There will be no domicile restriction.
Selection Stage –I, selection will be done by Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education and those who are selected/ recommended from Stage -I examination, will be eligible for $tage-ll( National Level) examination to be conducted by NCERT on 13th June. 2021.
Scholarship: About two thousand scholarships are awarded for different stages of education as shown below across the Country:-
Scholarship of Rs.1250/- per month for Class-XI to XII.
Scholarship of Rs.2000/- per month for undergraduates & post graduates.
Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D shall be fixed in accordance with UGC norms.
