In a new directive the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) has said that students of class 10th and 11th must qualify all the five subjects in their annual and bi-annual examination to continue with their further studies.
As per the public notification issued by director academics, Farooq Ahmad Peer, the decision will be implemented from the current academic session in Kashmir division including Leh and Kargil districts and winter zone areas of Jammu. In Jammu division, the decision will be implemented from academic session 2019-20.
The class 10th and 11th students who will be declared fail or unqualified in one or more than one subject shall be provisionally allowed to continue their studies in next higher class till the result of the bi-annual examination is declared.
“But, after declaration of the bi-annual result, the provisional admission of all such candidates who are declared fail in one or more subjects shall stand cancelled,” reads the notification.
