CIRCULAR

It has come to the notice that various Higher Secondary institutions of the Kashmir Division are not following the scheme of studies and combination of subjects, duly published in the syllabi of said classes while admitting the candidates in 11^,h and 12^th Classes. The scheme of studies and the combination of subjects at+2 stages have been prepared and is supposed to be operational at school level as per new scheme of studies. The revised combination of subjects is now as per the standard at National level particularly the standard set by the CBSE and has vertical linkage with under graduate courses offered by the university of Kashmir/Jammu.

The concerned candidates and Heads of the Higher Secondary Institutes are as such once again impressed upon to follow the said combination of subjects strictly failing which no request for change of subjects due to any negligence by the institutions or the candidates on this score, shall be entertained.

General English (Compulsory)	Physics (Compulsory)	Chemistry (Compulsory)	Mathematics Applied Mathematics	Biology Statistics Geography	Geology Biotechnology Microbiology Biochemistry	Computer Science, Information Practices, Environmental Science, Functional English, Physical Education, Islamic Studies, Vedic Studies, Buddhist Studies, Electronics.

Note: A student shall have to opt any two subjects from IV group, to VII group, but not more than one from each group.

NOTE:

1. A student shall have to opt any four subjects from II to VIII groups, but not more than one from each group.
2. No Repetition/Similarity or incomplete combination of subjects is allowed.

• While choosing subjects students are advised to opt for such subjects or combination of subject which are available and taught in the institution as per the above mentioned chart.
