Monsoon is active over Jammu today. Thundershower in Kathua, Udampur, Samba etc..Cloud already crossed Pirpanjal as well. Today is gonna be cooler weather in Jammu & Kashmir & Hot in Ladakh.

Expect moderate to heavy thundershower with lightning in Reasi,  Poonch, Rajouri Jmu, Udampur, Ramban-Banihal -Batote, Samba, Kathua, RS Pura during nxt 2-3 hrs from now n dissipate thereafter.

The weather in Kashmir and Yatra tracks would be generally cloudy with chances of rain towards afternoon, /evening.

Weather to remain cloudy throughout the state with light rain at isolated pockets of Ladakh and Jammu region and scattered places of Kashmir.

Currently its raining in Budgam, Kupwara, Baramulla, Sopore, Srinagar, Gulmarg, Ganderbal and at few places of south Kmr, mainly clear in Jammu region and partly cloudy in Ladakh.

Forecast for next 12hrs. : Rain will spread to whole Kashmir valley and Poonch, Rajouri, Banihal Ramban-Banihal, Doda, during next 3-4 hrs. And decrease thereafter. Overall, weather likely to remain erratic for next 2 to 3 days with no forecast of continuous heavy rain or shower.

Monsoon: Normally monsoon hit J&K in 1st week of July, this year. It is likely to be delayed by a week, as its onset over Kerala was delayed by a week. Rainfall from 1st June till now is a deficit in most districts of Jammu and above normal in Kashmir and normal in Ladakh.
