Punjab: Rahul Gandhi meets Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s family in Mansa

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday visited the residence of deceased Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in Mansa district

Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Mansa on May 29 a day after his security was withdrawn by the Punjab government.  The death of the singer has left his fans in deep shock. Rahul was abroad when the killing took place and returned over the weekend.
Earlier on Saturday, the parents of Moose Wala had met Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had also expressed grief with the family.
Senior Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa had written to CM Mann, urging him to “transfer the murder case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or the National Investigation Agency (NIA) so that justice can be delivered to the family at the earliest”.
