Traffic Advisory for 10th Muharram Procession on 26 June 2026.

In connection with the 10th Muharram procession being taken out on 26th June 2026 at 1300 hours, the general public, especially motorists, are informed that traffic restrictions/diversions will be implemented during the movement of the procession.

Route

Anjum-e-Haidery New Plot – Amphalla Chowk – Jail Road – CPO Chowk – Panjtirthi – Chowk Chabutra – Tonthali Bazaar – Jain Bazaar – Peer Mitha Shrine – Lakhdata Bazaar – Rajinder Bazaar – Shahidi Chowk – Wazarat Road – Head Office of Anjuman-e-Islamia Jammu at Karbala Complex.

Diversions

All PSV’s, LMV’s and two-wheelers bound for Janipur via Amphalla shall be diverted from Rehari Chowk during the movement of the procession.

All vehicles coming from Sidhra Cut towards Panjtirthi shall be diverted from Atal Chowk towards Circular Road.

All vehicles coming from Circular Road towards DC Office/Shaheedi Chowk shall be diverted towards Gujjar Nagar from DC Office Rotary.

All vehicles coming from Vivekananda Chowk towards Raghunath Bazaar shall be diverted from Sunder Singh Gurudwara – Raghunath Ji Temple – City Chowk – Shalamar Chowk.

All vehicles coming from Raghunath Bazaar towards Shaheedi Chowk shall be diverted from Denis Gate towards Mansar Hotel – Vivekananda Chowk.

Traffic movement from City Chowk towards Rajinder Bazaar shall be restricted and diverted through alternate routes accordingly.

All vehicles coming from Super Bazaar/Purani Mandi shall be diverted from Hanuman Temple near Casino towards Parade and shall not be allowed to move towards Link Road.

Additional reasonable restrictions may be imposed as per ground requirements during the movement of the procession. The general public is requested to plan their travel accordingly.
