JKBOSE NMMSS Exam 2022. National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme 2022

 JKBOSE National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS)- Inviting applications from Class-VIII (8th) Students

It is notified for information of aspiring candidates that Ministry of Education (MoE), New Delhi through the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education is going to conduct National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Examination 2021-22 on 16th March, 2022 (Wednesday) for students who have appeared in Class 8th Annual, Examination during the Session October-November, 2021 in the Kashmir Division/Winter Zones areas of Jammu Division, Ladakh and are going to appear in 8th Annual Examination in March-2022 in Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division.

Other Eligibility Criteria:

The student must be studying in Government, Government Aided and Local body Schools only.

The student must have been promoted from class VII irrespective of minimum marks as a special case for the exam year 2021-22.

The overall family income should not exceed Rs 1.5 Lakh per annum.

The scheme would provide reservation to different categories of students as per the reservation policy of U.T of J&K.

For availing the scholarship:

The student must pass both the tests i.e MAT & SAT with at least 40% Marks in aggregate taken together for these two tests. For the SC/ST, this cut will be 32% Marks.

Further the students must have scored at least 55% Marks or equal grade in Class 8th, 9th and 11th Examination and 60% Marks in class 10th Examination for continuance of scholarship. There will relaxation for SC/ST students.

The student must continue his/her studies in Government School up to Class 12th.

No. of Scholarships:

1091 scholarships will be awarded only to the students selected in order of merit and the amount shall be Rs. 12000/= per annum per student i.e. Total amount Rs. 48000/- for each selected student from class 9th to 12th. Examination: NMMS Examination will comprise of two papers viz:-

Test: Mental Ability Test (MAT)

  • No. of questions: 90
  • No. of marks: 90
  • Duration: 90 min

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

  • No. of questions: 90
  • No. of marks: 90
  • Duration: 90 min

The application form in prescribed proforma and other detailed information about the Scholarship Scheme can be had from JKBOSE website www.jkbose.nic.in.

The application forms duly attested by the Head of the Institution and accompanied with the requisite documents viz Class 7th Marks Certificate, Income Certificate and Category Certificate (if any) along with pay in slip of Rs 60 (Rupees sixty only), favouring Liaison Officer, NMMS, to be deposited in JK Bank A/C No. 0547010100000002, Branch JKBOSE, Bemina Srinagar, IFSC Code JAKA0EXAMBR, must reach the Office of concerned Chief Education Officer (Designated District Nodal Officer, NMMS Scheme) by or before 31st January
2022 (Monday).

The concerned Chief Education Officers (DNOs) shall prepare the database of the candidates in the prescribed excel format and submit the Application Forms along with requisite documents and database of their respective Districts to CDR Wing Bemina, Bye pass, Srinagar/Rehari Colony, Jammu by or before 5th February
2022(Saturday).
