TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 08-07-2025

Jammu–Srinagar NHW (NH-44)

Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, SANJY convoy / LMVs (Passenger/Private Cars) shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NHW (NH-44) via Srinagar towards Jammu and vice versa.

HMVs (Load Carriers) shall be allowed on alternate days.

Traffic Control Unit (TCU) Ramban will release traffic after assessing road conditions.

Cut-off Timings for LMVs (Passenger/Private Cars)

Nagrota (Jammu) → Srinagar

0700 hrs to 1200 hrs

Jakheni (Udhampur) → Srinagar

0800 hrs to 1300 hrs

Qazigund → Jammu

1130 hrs to 1730 hrs

Traffic Control Units at Nagrota and Qazigund will monitor the situation before allowing vehicles.

HMV / Load Carriers

Subject to fair weather and road conditions, HMVs will be allowed from NAVYUG Tunnel towards Srinagar after assessment of road conditions.

Priority will be given to:

Perishable goods

Fuel tankers

Livestock

Other essential commodities

No vehicle shall be allowed without proper fitness.

Army Convoy Movement

Army convoy movement shall be facilitated only after road clearance and subject to prevailing weather and road conditions.

Kishtwar – Sinthan – Anantnag NH-244

Road remains closed for vehicular movement due to damaged bridge and multiple shooting stones caused by heavy rainfall.

SSG Road

Subject to weather and road conditions, vehicles will be allowed from both sides after clearance from the road maintenance agency.

Mughal Road

Subject to weather and road conditions, movement of LMVs followed by HMVs will be allowed after clearance from the road maintenance agency.
